Cruikshank

Familia de caricaturistas e ilustradores ingleses. Isaac Cruikshank (Edimburgo 1756?-Londres 1810?), dedicouse á caricatura política. O seu fillo George Cruikshank (Londres 1792-1878), fixo debuxos satíricos da sociedade inglesa da época. Realizou tamén ilustracións en libros e xornais. Destacan as súas xilografías morais The Bottle (A botella, 1847) e The drunkard’s children (Os fillos do borracho, 1848), e o lenzo The Worship of Bacchus (O culto a Baco, 1860-1863). O seu irmán, Isaac Robert Cruikshank (Londres 1790-1856), foi miniaturista e caricaturista.
