Guinness, Alec

Actor cinematográfico e teatral inglés. En 1934 debutou como actor de teatro na compañía de John Gielgud e posteriormente no Old Vic Theatre. Simultaneou a actividade teatral con pequenos papeis no cine a mediados da década de 1940. Da súa filmografía destacan Great Expectations (1946), Oliver Twist (1948), The Man in the White Suit (1951), The Ladykillers (1955), The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957), Lawrence of Arabia (1962), The Fall of the Roman Empire (1964), Doctor Zhivago (1965), Fratello Sole, sorella Luna (1972), Star Wars (1977), The Empire Strikes Back (1980), Return of the Jedi (1982) e Kafka (1992). Recibiu o título de Sir en 1959.
