Baindridge, Beryl

Novelista e actriz teatral. A primeira novela que publicou foi A weekend with Claude (Unha fin de semana con Claude, 1967). Obtivo o Premio Guardian de novela con The bottle factory cuting (A factoría da botella cortante, 1974) e o Whitbread con Injury time (Tempo de desconto, 1977). Escribiu tamén Young Adolf (O mozo Adolf, 1978), Winter garden (Xardín de inverno, 1980), Watson´s apology (A apoloxía de Watson, 1984), Mum and Mr. Armitage (Mamá e Mr. Armitage, 1985), Filthy lucre (O vil metal, 1986), An awfully big adventure (Unha aventura tremendamente forte, 1989) e The birthay boys (Os rapaces do aniversario, 1991).
