Ainsworth, William Harrison

Escritor romántico inglés. Cultivou o xornalismo, foi editor e abriu en Londres un salón literario frecuentado, entre outros, por Dickens e Thackeray. Destacan as súas novelas John Chilverton (1826), Jack Sheppard (1839), The Tower of London (1840), Old St. Paul’s (1841) e Guy Fawkes (1841).
