Laughton, Charles

Actor estadounidense. De orixe inglesa, utilizou a súa grande humanidade para matizar personaxes despóticos e repulsivos (Moutiny on the Bounty, 1935; The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, 1939), humorísticos (Ruggles of the Red Gap, 1934; Hobson’s Choice, 1954; Witness for the prosecution, 1957), ou as dúas cousas á vez (The Private Live of Henry VIII, 1933). En 1955 dirixiu The Night of the Hunter.
