Longfellow, Henry Wadsworth

Escritor estadounidense. Na súa obra conxugou elementos autobiográficos e influencias directas do romanticismo alemán. É autor de Outremer: a Pilgrimage Beyong the Sea (1834), Hyperion (1839), Voices of the Night (1839) e Ballads and Other Poems (1842). Tamén destacan os poemas “Evangelina” (1847) e “The Song of Hiawatha” (1855) e a tradución da Divina Commedia (1867).
