Maury, Matthew Fontaine

Oceanógrafo estadounidense. Fundador do gabinete hidrográfico de EE UU, elaborou mapas dos ventos e das correntes do Océano Atlántico. Das súas obras destacan The Physical Geography of the Sea (1855) e Letter Concerning Lanes for Steamers Crossing the Atlantic (1855).
