Mumford, Lewis

Urbanista estadounidense. Foi profesor na Stanford University (1942-1944) e   na UNiversity of Pennsylvania (1951-1959). Desde 1920 publicou críticas arquitectónicas de historia urbana e de planificación, como The Culture of the Cities (1928) e The City in the History (1961). Denunciou os aspectos deshumanizadores da sociedade tecnificada en The Myth of the Machine (1967-1970).
