Synge, John Millington

Dramaturgo irlandés. Debutou con In the Shadow of the Glen (1903), creou unha linguaxe adaptada á escena de temática e tradición irlandesas, e enriqueceu o teatro inglés. Da súa produción destacan Riders to the Sea (1904), The Playboy of the Western World (1907) e Deirdre of the Sorrows (1910).
