Yeats, William Butler

Escritor. Comezou a carreira literaria, con John Sherman and Doya (1891). Fundou o Abbey Theatre (1904) para o que escribiu diversas obras, como The Countess Cathleen (1899). O seu interese polo esoterismo aparece en The Secret Rose, The Tables of the Law e The Adoration of the Magi, publicadas en 1897. Escribiu Poems Written in Discouragement (1913), Responsabilities (1914), The Wild Swans at Coole (1917), The Tower (1928), e o ensaio The Celtic Twilight (1893). Recibiu o Premio Nobel de Literatura (1923).
